"Green" scrapbooking and cardmaking

One of my newsletters this month featured suggestions for being "green" in our scrapbooking and cardmaking. So I'm going to make a point to focus some of my blog posts on being "green." One idea I read that is interesting to me is using a sticky note inside a card for the personal message so that the card can be used again. I think I would take this a bit further and maybe write the personal note on a piece of paper but I do like the idea of using a card (especially a homemade card) again. We re-use gift bags so why not cards?? It might take a little bit of convincing to get your family and friends on board with this idea-I know my family is big on sending cards and might think its rude to reuse them or not to write directly on them but I think its a wonderful idea!!! Just don't send the card to the person you got it from!!! Let me know if you have tried this and how it works out!! More green suggestions soon!!! (I promise I will also soon be posting pics of projects)!.

Hi Soby,

I do like that idea! In fact, we could even create a game out of it sort of like "where's george"..where you track dollar bills? Only track the cards! How fun is that? Then it's not "re-gifting" the card but inviting the recipient into the game. All while being green! I'm thinking maybe I'll try it with Christmas cards this year!
